Today (30th August), a brief item was published in the Essex County Standard about the opening of Colchester’s Roman circus site and centre to visitors. The Trust unveiled our donors’ plaque to guests and then opened the circus site and centre, and our new cafe, to visitors on the 24th August. The item is on page 14 of Colchester’s local newspaper and it includes two images and a few words by Trust director Philip Crummy about the circus centre – we have lots of great plans for the centre but it is a work in progress.
So the circus site, centre and cafe have now been open to visitors for a week, and we have had some very positive feedback.
The Roman circus site, centre and cafe are open every day (not Sunday), from 10.00am till 4.00pm. Entry is free.
We look forward to seeing you!
The plan shows how to find the Roman circus site, centre and cafe.
