1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online store and the purchase of products from Colchester Archaeological Trust Limited (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website to make purchases.

2. Products and Pricing
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. While we endeavour to ensure accuracy in product descriptions, images, and pricing, we reserve the right to correct any errors or update prices and details at any time. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

3. Orders and Contract
Your order constitutes an offer to purchase goods. A contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for reasons including, but not limited to, product unavailability, payment issues, or suspected fraudulent activity.

4. Payment
Payments are processed securely through our WooCommerce platform and approved third-party payment gateways. By submitting payment, you authorise us to charge the total amount of the order.

5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders within 3–5 working days unless otherwise stated. Estimated shipping times and costs are displayed at checkout. Delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed.

6. Returns and Refunds
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 14 calendar days of receipt, provided it is unused and in its original packaging. Please notify us in advance before returning an item. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or was sent in error.
Refunds will include the original standard delivery charge, where applicable. Any additional charges for express or premium delivery services are non-refundable.

7. Cancellations
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the goods. To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing—by email or post—quoting your order number and relevant details.
If the goods have already been dispatched, you must return them to us at your own cost within 14 calendar days of notifying us. Items must be returned unused, in their original condition and packaging. We recommend using a tracked postal service.
Once the returned goods are received, we will process a full refund within 14 days. This includes the original standard delivery charge, but excludes any extra cost paid for premium or express delivery options.

8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising out of the use of our website or products. This does not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under English law. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.

9. Privacy
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use your data solely for the purpose of processing orders and communicating with you. We do not share your information with third parties, except as necessary for payment processing, order fulfilment, or legal compliance.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
