#MeetTheStaffMonday Alice

This #MeetTheStaffMonday we are meeting Alice!🥳

“Hi my name is Alice and I am a Trainee Site Assistant.

I started at the Trust as a volunteer at the beginning of the year marking and washing finds, and in late August I began my current role as a Site Assistant. Archaeology has been a passion of mine since my nan told me about her trip to Egypt when I was fourteen and I have been hooked ever since!🌅

Before going to University I went on a two week training dig with SHARP at Sedgeford in Norfolk in 2012 to get experience of working on a site. I then went to University of Southampton where I graduated with a BA Honours in Archaeology in 2016. During University, I got to experience digging in Europe as I went to Százhalombatta, Hungary where I found a iron pin head dated to the Bronze age!!😲

Outside of Archaeology I volunteer with Sutton Hoo and GirlGuiding UK and am a Guide and Rainbow leader and a Brownie helper. I also enjoy cross stitching, reading and walking along the seafront. I am also a big Formula 1 fan!!🚗”
