SATURDAY 4TH JULY 2015 SAFFRON WALDEN, DUXFORD AND BARTLOW

We will be going directly to Saffron Walden to spend the morning in this interesting and historical town. After lunch we will be going to visit Duxford Chapel, originally built in the 13th century as a hospital and chapel for travellers. Our final visit of the day will be to the 12th century church at Bartlow in which three 15th century wall paintings have been recently restored. From the church a short walk through the woods will take us to the remaining Romano British tumuli of which there were originally seven but now only three remain.
The coach will leave from outside Grey Friars at 9.00 a.m and return to Colchester at about 5.30 p.m.

The cost will be £20.50′
