“Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a Junior Project Officer at CAT which involves running small to medium sized sites and writing archive reports. 📄

I first started at CAT in 2014 during the Fenwicks excavation and (apart from a 6-month stint working in a secondary school) I have been here ever since! My favourite thing I’ve ever excavated was the tile kiln in Mile End. The best thing about my job is doing historic building recordings, I love exploring old buildings and finding their hidden secrets to tell their story. Give me an old building over the mud any day! 🏠

Outside of archaeology I can usually be found doing hand embroidery, reading, hiking in Wales, playing board games and drinking an unhealthy amount of tea☕️️”
