This #MeetTheStaffMonday we are meeting Gabby!

“Hello! I’m Gabby and have been training with the Trust for 5 months now⏰

I came straight to CAT after completing my degree in Geology. My interest in Archaeology stems from the interaction between these two disciplines – how the Earth has shaped human migration, materials and civilisations💭

I mainly work on site, where I am constantly learning new things about British archaeology. During my short time here I have dug so many interesting things, including an Anglo-Saxon quernstone! Also, working on site is great for observing cool insects (though I am not fond of the common Devil’s coach horses). When in the office I identify and catalogue rocks from the ECH site, which are mainly limestones and mudstones and sometimes contain some pretty sweet fossils🪨

Other interests of mine include violin, musical theatre, classical music, sci-fi, and painting. I also try to bake, much to the dismay of my coworkers😊”
