Colchester Castle Museum closed: go for the four open days in March!

Colchester Castle Musuem is closed to the public from January 2013 until Easter 2014 but, in March 2013, there are four days on which the castle will be open to the public – and it is a unique opportunity to see inside the castle keep with all its displays removed.

The ‘Castle revealed’ open days are on the 10th, 14th, 24th and 29th March, 10.00am-5.00pm: entry costs £2, £1.50 concessions.

Colchester and Ipswich Museums say: ‘… A chance to see the castle empty of museum displays, so you can marvel at its architectural splendour!  Guided tours available …’

The Friends of the Colchester Archaeological Trust will be having a guided tour of the castle keep on the 16th March (see Friends of the Trust section on this web-site).
