This #MeetTheStaffMonday we are meeting Charlie!

“Hello! My name is Charlie and I’ve been a field Archaeologist at CAT since April last year.

I obtained my Archaeology degree at UWTSD in 2020 after falling in love with the subject through my A-Levels and finally started my training later that year. I’ve been lucky to experience both community and commercial archaeology, and have been on various sites throughout the UK 🌍

After doing a job on Mersea for a year I decided to settle in the area after falling in love with the rich heritage and wonderful people here 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Outside of CAT I have similar interests. I adore theoretical archaeology and often keep up with new studies, with my main key interest being about civilisations in the bronze age Mediterranean (think Minoans!).
Otherwise I enjoy playing games (don’t get me started about my love for Pokémon), playing guitar, collecting tiny books, and meeting a variety of animals (Axolotls are my favourite🥰).”
