Circus Centre lottery decision expected in March

March 3rd might be an important day for the circus. Our first round application for a grant to fund the new Centre there is due to be considered by the Heritage Lottery on that day. The whole process will take a while though. Success on the 3rd March would be followed by a special grant to cover the costs of preparing a second but more detailed and fully costed proposal which, if approved, would lead to building work starting in 2014. In our Round 1 application, the provisional costs would add up to a grant of £1,463,200. This is on basis that we provide 10% of the cost of the project (ie £145,320) as either cash (£100,070) or as the value of free services and voluntary help (£45,250). These figures would be firmed up as the second application is compiled. You can read much of the digital part of our Round 1 application here
