Summary
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at Wellhouse Farm, Colchester Road, West
Mersea, Essex during groundworks for the construction of a new agricultural building. Despite being
located in an area of high archaeological potential the only features encountered were a post-medieval
field boundary ditch and two small undated pits.
