Summary
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at 5 Queens Road, Colchester, Essex during
groundworks for the construction of a two-storey rear extension and related groundworks. The
development site was located within a Late Iron Age to Roman Lexden cemetery area. Despite being
located in an area of high archaeological potential there were no archaeological remains uncovered.
