Summary
An archaeological evaluation (three trial-trenches) was carried out at 5 The Street, Sheering, Harlow,
Essex, in advance of the demolition of the existing dwelling and erection of two detached dwellings as
the site is located within the historic settlement of Sheering. The evaluation revealed three pits, pottery
from two of the pits has been dated to the medieval period (13th to the 15th centuries).
