Summary
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at Hill House, 183 Lexden Road, Colchester,
Essex prior to the construction of four dwellings with parking. It revealed seven features, all likely
dating to the 19th to 21st century and relating to landscaping and garden activities within the grounds
of Hill House.
